Fall Winter 2016
In-store now at Trinity Arcade & Claremont Quarter
Key trends this Winter is the prominence of Navy across suiting and blazer collections. The fabrics are lightweight. Although tran-seasonal in weight, these cloths offer the desired warmth to get through the Winter months. The tailoring features silhouettes that are straight and slim.
Winter collections present a lot of textural patterned fabrics and new cloths such as super light flannels and micro weave fabrics. Silk blended fabrics are also prominent. Checks are very subtle, more tonal. Pinstripes are also slight in characteristic. Suiting colours range from intense Navy and Midnight Blue tones as well as charcoal and diffused blacks.
Ties can instantly inject a wardrobe refresh especially if you are looking to project an influential image in business, particularly during this economic climate. Woven jacquard, prominent stripes and paisley ties are back in vogue.
There's also an active wear component of influence across some collections this season stemming into "fashion" suiting. The Z Zegna suit in "Techno Merino Wool" is an example of this trend. The high performance weave of the suit fabric doesn't crease, is water resistant and offers breathability.
Z Zegna has created a whole range that is "Techno Merino". Made from super fine Australian and New Zealand wool, the fabric offers natural stretch and movement. There is no elastin and the movement comes from the way the cloth is woven. This fabric technology is featured across their FW 16 collections including suiting, sports jackets, active wear and jeans.
